A Silver Lining

 

 

I couldn’t find it. — The silver lining.— And I labored over thinking the dot had to be right there in front of my face, right now, to make the connection for me. 

But that’s not how it was working. I couldn’t see the dot to make the connection to show me the light that is, a silver lining. 

And yet everyone has always said, “there’s a silver lining”; everyone was saying, “there’s a silver lining.” But I couldn’t see it. I couldn’t connect it. So, I didn’t believe it. 

Until, I had to trust in something. 

So, I did. 

I started to have faith that it would come. All of it. 

And then slowly but clearly, I could see it— the dot connected and the light became — the silver lining. Each appeared in distinct opportunity with no other explanation than wholly divine purpose — a silver lining.

So, that’s the lesson I learned:

Sometimes the silver lining is simply trusting that there will be a silver lining. 

And there will be.

But let me tell you, that is a very demanding place to rest. 

So, if and when you find yourself in that space…

Hang on and hang in there.

Hold enough faith to wait until the divine dot reveals itself to make the connection to the light that is— 

a silver lining. 

It will be-come.
